Objectives
- Understand the basic concepts of Human Factors (HF) in the whole organisation.
- Take account of HF in event analyses.
- Be able to analyse your organisation’s safety culture.
Audience & Prerequisites
Ideally aimed at people in charge of safety management, this course is accessible to a wide audience with a good knowledge of Safety Management System. It develops knowledge that can be applied in all areas of high-risk activities where humans play a central role in safety performance.
Multinational course, English intermediate level (B1/B2).
Course content
- Human performance: the place of human resources in socio-technical systems, cognitive, psycho-sociological and sociological
factors. - Managing stress and fatigue.
- Situational awareness and decision-making.
- Teamwork, co-activity, coordination, cooperation, communication.
- HFACS model (Human Factors Analysis and Classification System).
- Biases in the sociology of organisations.
- HF module can be usefully complemented by the Fatigue Risk Management System course.
Duration: 27 hours.
