    Objectives

    • Use interactive methods, to learn problem-solving and decision-making techniques adapted to the
      context of safety management.
    • Understand the processes involved in analysing past or future problems.
    • Organise and prioritise the facts identified as part of a risk assessment or event analysis.

    Audience & Prerequisites

    The Problem Solving module is aimed at decision-makers and people involved in preparing decisions
    within uncertain situation.
    It is also aimed at those responsible for carrying out risk studies and event analyses . This module can be
    usefully complemented by the SRM module.

    Multinational course, English intermediate level (B1/B2).

    Course content

    • Problem solving: definition and identification of the problem, facts and opinions collection, identifying causes, decision-making.
    • Reasoning methods applied to risk study and
      event analysis.
    • Practical exercises and case studies.

    Duration: 12 hours.
