
FIGHTER CONTROLLER_BASIC - COMPREHENSIVE COURSE
Objectives
The objective of the « Basic – Comprehensive » training is to give an initial capacity to master Air Defense fundamentals including Airspace sovereignty implementation :
- To have the ability to tactilly control aircraft,
- To master phases of setting up interceptions for pilot training,
- To perform intercepts with area constraints,
- To ensure interception and combat safely,
- To master QRA procedures,
- To master basic picture control technique limited to 2 vs 2.
Audience & Prerequisites
- Officers and/or NCOs fighter controllers dedicated to work in control centers.
- English intermediate level (B1/B2).
- National course.
- Mini 4 trainees – 6 trainees maximum.
Courses audience, duration and contents can be adapted upon specific requests.
Course content
The training includes a theoretical part and a
practical part.
Theoretical :
- Navigation
- Ground Equipment
- Airspace uses
- Phraseology and standard communication procedures
- Interception techniques
- Command & Control
- Weapons systems
- Air assets
- Surface threats
- Human factor
Practical :
A large part of the training is dedicated to simulated hands-on work. The practical phase is divided into 6 phases :
- Navigation
- Geometry of interception
- Safety in combat training
- Quick Reaction Alert training
- Picture 2 groups diffusion
- Introduction to Advanced level
