Objectives
- To have the ability to tactically control aircraft
- To master phases of setting up interceptions for pilot training
- To perform intercepts with area constraints
- To ensure interception and combat safely
- To master QRA procedures
- To master basic picture control technique limited to 2 vs 2
Audience & Prerequisites
This course is designed to train already qualified pilot or ATC who have been identified to become Fighter Controller (FC). Because they do have a strong aeronautical knowledge, this course will focused only on FC job academic specificities and skills.
6 trainees.
Course content
The training covers theoretical and practical elements of fighter control.
Academics:
- Phraseology and standard communication procedures
- Command and control
- Airspace use and safety
- Weapons systems, Air assets and surface threats
- Interception techniques
Practical:
A large part of the training is dedicated to simulated hands-on work (75%) divided in 4 phases.
