Objectives
- Acquire skills and techniques for interviewing witnesses to an aviation event.
- Analyse an event and to identify its causes.
- Optimise teamwork in meetings as part of safety management or event analysis.
Audience & Prerequisites
This module is prinicpaly aimed at safety management professionals responsible for identifyig hazards, carrying out event analysis and effectively gathering formal and informal safety information from individuals or groups. The techniques and methods taught are fully transferable to all areas of activity.
Multinational course; English intermediate level (B1/B2).
Course content
- This course uses concepts covered in the ISMS course.
- Introduction to interview witnesses with active listening.
- Event analysis and use of the HFACS (Human Factirs Analysis and Classification System) model.
- Several pratical exercises and role plays with feedback on methods.
- Introduction to group communication: brainstorming, establishing grop dynamics, synergy, collective problems solving and finding new ideas.
