IFSA will organise three ASO courses in the next 12 months!

Air Safety Officer (ASO)

The Air Safety Officer training course lasts 4 weeks. It is divided into 5 modules:

  • Introduction and implementation of the Safety Management Systems (ISMS),
  • Organisational and Human Factors in the safety and investigation management system (OHF),
  • Investigation data collection and processing (IDCP),
  • Problem-solving and decision-making techniques (PS),
  • Safety Risk Management (SRM).

 

These training courses are adapted to both commercial and State aviation organisations.

The training is open to all staff involved in a Safety Management System, whether in the field of aviation or not.

Dates for the next Air Safety Officer training courses are:

  • from 30 September to 25 October 2024: complete ASO course;
  • from 25 to 29 November 2024: ISMS module only;
  • from 13 January to 7 February 2025: complete ASO course;
  • from 3 March to 28 March 2025: complete ASO course.

 

The entire training course can be attended progressively by taking only one module per ASO course session. Please note that it is highly recommended to start with the ISMS module before taking other modules.
